Switch it up: A lower body circuit workout!

Hey everyone,

We have decided to go back to upper and lower body split workouts, after trying full body workouts for over a month.  While full body workouts were a refreshing change, we felt we could only really do them every second day to allow for sufficient recovery time.  There is a bit more flexibility in timing with the split workouts, however, where we can do back-to-back workouts depending on our schedules.


For this lower body workout, we chose six exercises, incorporating both kettlebells and the Jungle Gym XT suspension trainer. The exercises were completed circuit style, for as many reps as possible with good form.  We took a short break (2-3 minutes) between each circuit. Overall, each set took about 8-9 minutes to complete.


Here is what we did:
  1. Kettlebell Deadlifts
  2. Kettlebell Goblet Squats
  3. Kettlebell Swings
  4. Double Kettlebell Stepback Lunges
  5. Hip Bridges
  6. Jungle Gym Pistol Squats

This was a killer leg workout, given we haven't had any focused leg workouts for the past month.  We could definitely feel how hard we had worked the next day! Give this circuit workout a try and let us know what you think!
