Prince Edward Island - Outdoor Workout and Ocean Run

Hey everyone,

For the second part of our trip to the Maritimes, we travelled to Prince Edward Island.  We stayed at the lovely Cranford Inn in Charlottetown, but were able to travel all over the island (since it is so small).  PEI was a breath-takingly beautiful place to visit.  The rolling hills, ocean, red earth, and sandy beaches were spectacular.

Since we were eating so well (definitely not following our usual diet!) throughout this trip, we made it a priority to fit in workouts whenever we could.  We did one full body circuit workout in Charlottetown, using a play structure at a nearby school.  In this workout, we did six exercises per circuit, with three circuits in total.  Here's what we did:

On the following day, we headed out for a morning run along the waterfront.  It was beautiful scenery, running alongside the ocean.  We incorporated some interval sprints into the run, for some additional challenge.

For the final part of our Maritime vacation, we returned to Halifax.  Stay tuned for our next post where we describe the finale of our travels.
