Back to Reality...

Hey everyone,

Vacations are a great thing, but unfortunately they always seem to eventually end.


Although we always try to fit in workouts while travelling, due to equipment limitations, lifting heavy weights is often not possible.  Even after a few days off, you really feel it when you return to heavy lifting. So for our first workout back at home, we incorporated kettlebells and kept things lighter than usual to ease back into our lifting.

We completed a circuit-style lower body workout, with 6 exercises, completing 3 circuits in total.  Here is what we did:

1. Kettlebell Goblet Squats
2. Alternating Kettlebell Deadlifts
3. Double Kettlebell Squats
4. Jungle Gym Hamstring Bicycles
5. Double Kettlebell Walking Lunges
6. Double Kettlebell Single Leg Deadlifts

Although we had only been on vacation for one week, we found this workout to be a challenge.  Still, it was good to be lifting weights again and getting back into our fitness routine.  Rather than being discouraged, we reminded ourselves that a week of less intense lifting is probably a good break for our bodies and minds.  Now, returning to it, we have a renewed motivation to get back at it and make some new gains!
