A Great Workout Finisher!

Hey everyone,

At the end of our workouts, we will often complete a bonus set, or 'finisher'.  These final challenges are often focused on conditioning and provide a good metabolic boost.  In a recent workout, we used a ratio set as a finisher.  It was definitely a challenge, after having already completed a full upper body workout.

In this ratio set finisher, I did 5 chinups to 15 close grip pushups (as the ratio) and completed four rounds (i.e. 20 chinups and 60 close grip pushups in total).  You can watch this finisher in our demonstration video below:

Be creative with your finishers.  This is a good opportunity to have fun, challenge yourself, and/or work on neglected exercises or body parts.  By performing a finisher set at a fast pace, with minimal rest, you will really boost your metabolism.  You can pair any exercises to create your own ratio set.  Compound movements are ideal, as you'll work the maximum amount of muscle.  Give a finisher a try at the end of your next workout - let us know how it goes!
