While we were away in Turks & Caicos, we made sure to fit in a few workouts. While there was not a huge selection of equipment in our resort's gym, we were easily able to put together some full body workouts using dumbbells and a cable machine. All of our workouts were full body and time-based, so we could get them done and head back out into the sun!
For our first workout, we chose 5 different exercises and completed each exercise for 5 minutes (doing as many reps as possible with good form). We took a 2 minute rest period in between each exercise. Here is what we did:
1. Kneeling Lat Pull-down
2. Step-back Lunges
3. Cable Rows
4. Goblet Squats
5. Bicep Curls
This was a good workout that could easily be completed in most hotel gyms. Doing full body, time-based workouts was an efficient and effective way for us to start our days feeling healthy. It kept our energy levels high throughout the vacation and we returned home guilt free, feeling as healthy as we were at the start.
