5-Minute Bodyweight (Beginner) Workout

Hey everyone,

How is your day going?  Many of us will say it's a busy day.  There's lots on the go, between work, family and other commitments.  Do you feel that you are too busy to fit in a workout today?  What if we could show you how to do a 5-minute workout - one that anyone could do, without any equipment.  Could you find 5 minutes in your day to improve your health and fitness?  Most of us probably could...

We have developed another Couplefit 5-minute beginner bodyweight workout.  This is a workout that you can do anywhere, at any time, as it doesn't require any equipment.  Who can't find 5 free minutes in their day?

This workout is a simple circuit of three exercises (step-back lunges, bench dips and mountain climbers), which you perform consecutively without rest.  You complete the exercises for 5-minutes.  That's the workout!

This is a simple workout that we encourage you to try whenever you're tight on time but don't want to neglect your fitness and health.  If time is the constraint, but these exercises are too easy, you can always increase the pace and/or number of reps that you perform in a row.  This should increase the intensity of the workout.   Similarly, if you're just starting out, feel free to pace yourself and only complete as many reps at a time as you are comfortable.

Give this 5-minute workout a try and let us know what you think!

  1. Can you give me some suggestions on what and when to eat before and after a workout? Is a light snack better than a full meal? How long should you wait after eating before working out?
