During our long weekend trip to Montreal, Alex completed a lower body workout. He really enjoyed this workout, as he was able to use some equipment that we do not have access to in our home gym. We also had an opportunity to swim in the hotel pool, which is always a treat when we are travelling.
For his lower body workout, Alex completed two supersets, followed by two more lower body exercises. Here is what he did:
Superset A - Hamstring Curls & Leg Extensions
Superset B - Shoulder-Elevated Hip Thrusts & Dumbbell Bench Step-ups (with 2x50lbs)
Kickbacks
Overhead Dumbbell Stepback Lunges (with 50 lbs)
This was another great travel workout. Although we don't often do machine-based exercises, it was fun and nostalgic to do the hamstring curls and leg extensions.
Another reason why it is important to keep up your exercise routine when travelling is that your diet is often not as clean as when you are at home. We had a great meal out at Shodan for sushi and we didn't feel nearly as guilty since we knew we had already had a great workout earlier that day!
